Run by the same family since 1998, this Carlisle trattoria serves up hearty, unpretentious Italian comfort with massive portions to match. Diners come for plates piled high with spaghetti marinara, rich carbonara, and blistered pizzas, washed down with wine brought from the bottle shop across the street for a modest $3 corkage. By day, espresso flows alongside breakfast rolls and leather booth seating; by night, long tables gather over overflowing bowls of pasta before eye-balling the front glass cabinet for lemon tarts, cannoli, and slices of tiramisu.
