How should five adults plan two nights on Rottnest Island in winter?

A past ferry was cancelled in bad weather, and we want time to explore without overbooking activities.

Book accommodation and ferries with flexible terms where possible. Winter crossings can be weather affected, so keep your first mainland commitment after the return ferry loose.
