How should we divide a long caravan trip through southwest WA?

Keep time for spring wildflowers if they coincide with your route, but do not promise a particular bloom. A flexible schedule lets you stay longer where the weather and scenery suit you.

From Albany, follow the south coast toward Esperance at a relaxed pace. Check caravan-park availability, road conditions and any national-park camping rules before choosing overnight stops.

Use Perth and Fremantle as one base before turning south. Then allow several nights each around Margaret River, the southern forests and the Albany coast instead of moving the van daily.
