A good question.
A local answer.

Ask restaurants whether they have a high chair and space for a pram; availability varies by venue. Reserve a suitable table if the meal is time-sensitive.

Choose one or two regional anchors rather than trying to cover the whole state. Perth, Rottnest and a south-west base can fill a week without constant packing.

Ask about cancellation fees, weekend availability and any extra charge for a longer treatment. A glamorous package is less useful if appointments are scarce.

Calculate usable time after baggage collection, travel back and the airline's check-in deadline. Eight hours on a ticket may yield a much shorter sightseeing window.

Work backward from the airline's check-in deadline and include the station-to-terminal walk. If no suitable train appears, prebook a taxi or stay closer to the airport.

For other wildlife outings, distinguish sanctuaries and reserves from zoos and check each operator's animal-welfare information. Some nature sites are difficult without a tour or car.

Compare central streets, riverside areas and nearby residential neighbourhoods by the exact address. The CBD can be convenient, but evening food options vary block by block.

Keep Rottnest as its own day and check ferry booking and weather. Combine Fremantle with a harbour meal rather than rushing back for more city sights.

Compare the operator's route against the year's expected flowering regions and ask about the guide's botanical knowledge. Flowering varies with season and weather.

Choose accommodation near groceries and a practical transport route, then check each attraction's actual holiday calendar. Christmas Day and New Year's Day can differ from the days between.

Confirm a cot, laundry and safe outdoor space before booking. A pretty regional address may still involve long drives for meals and supplies.

Call the exact store or use its current stock checker if available. A chain-wide listing does not guarantee every branch carries the same starter pack.
